What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® straightens your teeth without wires and brackets, using a series of clear, customized, removable appliances called aligners. How does Invisalign® work?
The Invisalign® System combines advanced 3-D computer graphics technology with the 100-year-old science of orthodontics. Invisalign® aligners are designed to move your teeth in small steps to the desired final position prescribed by your Image Orthodontics doctor.
Each aligner is precisely calibrated and manufactured to fit your mouth at each stage of treatment. Each is worn for about two weeks, only being taken out to eat, brush and floss. As you replace one aligner with the next, your teeth will begin to move gradually - until they have straightened to the final position. You'll visit our offices about once every 8 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 6-15 months.
